Registration Representative - Imaging Department

Scheduled hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (flexible hours)

Part-time 20 hours a week

Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum one year experience working in a healthcare setting (registration or customer service) or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Computer proficiency a plus.
Ability to handle busy phones.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and external contacts. Demonstrate excellent customer service ability. Follows WestHealth's Values and Behavior Standards.
Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Educational requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical terminology
Knowledge of standard patient registration practices and requirements.

Key Result Areas:
- Administer the Registration process to secure patient accounts.
- Adhere to State & Federal regulations to ensure legal compliance.
- Coordinates scheduled appointment with correct patient and correct amount.
- Provides imaging main line telephone coverage to accurately route calls and answer patient or physician requests.
- Attend and participate in facility and department functions.
- Willingness to cross train in film file room.

Surgery Services

Surgery A/D, PACU Nurse

Work & Educational Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure and registration as an R.N. in State of Minnesota. 

• Minimum Five years experience in A/D, PACU. 
• ACLS renewal every 2 years.  BLS certifications.

Purpose Statement:

To provide safe, quality and efficient care to surgical and endoscopy patients.

Key Result Areas:

Provides safe and timely clinical care to patients during the immediate pre and post operative phase to facilitate a positive surgical outcome.

Effectively communicates with all members of the surgery team and family to ensure safe and efficient outcomes.

Conducts a comprehensive pre-op and post-op patient interview and is proactive with gathered information. 

Actively participates in department development and training to facilitate growth and quality improvement.

Surgery Operating Room Nurse

Work & Educational Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active Minnesota RN license.
• Minimum of   2 years operating room experience.
• Current CPR certification.

This position is responsible for managing care of the patient undergoing surgery to ensure patient safety and comfort, and to facilitate a positive surgical outcome.

Effectively communicates with all members of the surgery team to ensure safe and efficient outcomes. 

Maintains a safe, organized, and hazard free working environment to ensure optimal work flow.

Surgery Instrument Aide

Work & Educational Experience Requirements: 

• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of 6 months instrument room or O.R. experience required.

Purpose Statement

This position is responsible for the maintenance and proper processing of surgical instrumentation and supplies to ensure safety and facilitate a positive surgical outcome.

Key Result Areas: 

Provides support to clinical staff by assembling supplies and instrumentation necessary for the completion of a surgical procedure. 

Completes decontamination, sorting, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments to facilitate safe and thorough patient care. 

Completes decontamination and processing of endoscopy scopes to ensure safety, and quality of patient care. 

Maintains a safe organized, working environment providing for optimal work flow. 

Actively participates in department development and training to facilitate growth and quality improvement.

Urgent Care

PA Position

WestHealth Urgent Care has a 0.5 position for a Licensed Physician Assistant.  The shifts are primarily evenings/weekends with day shifts additionally for coverage of vacations/time off.
