Healthcare bills can be confusing. We have answers.

If you are a member of an HMO or a plan that requires a referral, please verify that an AUTHORIZATION has been received for this service. If you are unsure about your coverage, please contact your insurance company.

Your involvement in the processing of your WestHealth bill will vary according to your insurance plan:

  • If your insurance company has a contract with WestHealth, Patient Account Services submits a claim to your insurance company and does reasonable follow-up for payment of covered services. The billing procedure can vary according to your insurance plan. If you are unsure about your coverage, please call your insurance company. If there is a remaining unpaid balance, it will be your obligation.
  • If your insurance company does not have a contract with WestHealth (e.g., automobile insurance), Patient Account Services submits a courtesy claim to your insurance company. You will need to contact your insurance company to ensure prompt payment. The balance will remain your obligation. (WestHealth does not bill Out of State Medical Assistance or Out of Country insurance plans.)
  • It is important to keep WestHealth updated regarding any insurance changes. Please call Patient Account Services at 763-577-7070 if you have a change in your insurance coverage.
