Neurology and Neurosurgery are the areas of medicine that focus on treatments of the nervous system, specifically the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. Neurologists and neurosurgeons treat such conditions as chronic pain, back injuries, memory and aging disorders, seizures, Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. Diagnostic testing may include EEGs, EMGs, neurothermography, radiology and ultrasound as well as head and whole body CT scanning. Treatments may include biofeedback, surgery, neuropsychology, physical rehabilitation programs and pain management programs.
